As we left Alnwick, the sun was shining, we had the roof down and drove across the Holy Island causeway and walked to Lindisfarne Castle. Mechanical problems as we travel to Northumberland (our DB2's first road trip)
Mr F purchased our DB2 (aka 'M') about one year ago and we are currently keeping her in the UK with the others. (See separate post under the 'Cars' category on this site for more detail). The AMOC Spring Weekend 2026
The Aston Martin Owners' Club is a worldwide community. Back in Australia, we receive the UK club magazine regularly and often think how good it would be to be able to attend some of the events that the UK club organises. Meet 'M' our 1953 Aston Martin DB2 DHC (Drophead Coupe)
One evening last year I caught Mr F lusting after this car on the Sotheby's auction site. It has an interesting past and would be potentially eligible to compete in the Mille Miglia - a lifetime dream for him. The car was passed in at auction and after some negotiation it came into our care. As the 'senior' member of our Aston clan we have called her 'M'.
