Having spent weekends and evenings over the past four months to rebuild the Jensen-Healey, Mr F wasn't confident that she would make it to Katoomba, in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, without breaking down. Not to be beaten, we trailered her there with the plan that on the morning of the National Rally at Blackheath we would drive her, then trailer her back to Sydney. We had fun exploring the local antique stores, enjoying the beautiful autumn leaves and the fast flowing waterfalls thanks to recent rain.
On the day of the Rally everyone was firing up their cars and, of course, ours wouldn't start! There were lots of helpful heads under the bonnet, but to no avail. She ended up making her debut at the Club Rally on the trailer. Lots of people came to look at the cars and the weather was gorgeous. The weekend finished with a Great Gatsby-themed dinner and your truly won the best female costume prize! This was the first Jensen Club event we've been to and we met some great people from all over Australia. Next year's national rally is in Toowoomba. Mr F has his Interceptor to complete so it will be interesting to see what we take next year.
